5 Tantra Tips for Getting More out of Sex

Addison Prescot reveals five Tantra tips for improving sex and getting more out of it.
... While most people are interested in Tantra primarily due to its sexual implications, it can also help you to enjoy a more intense relationship and improve your romantic life. But for this article, I will just continue to offer the Tantra that people are wanting, Sexual Tantra.

Five beginner tips for Tantric Sex:

Tip Number One For Tantric Sex.

In Yoga, Pranayama is a term that means Control of Breath or Regularising of Breath. This is one very simple tantric tip for sexual improvements. Try to breath in unison with each other. Synchronizing your breathing together will no doubt enhance the sexual experience for you both. It can help keep distractions to a minimum and connect you in focus. If it becomes difficult in any way, just relax and stop trying so hard. It should then come back with relative ease. Read more

Is Tantric Sex rhe Ultimate Workout?

It's definitely a sign that Tantric sex has gone mainstream when a bodybuilding website has a long article about the topic. If you're relatively new to Tantric sex, this article gives you some techniques to get you started.
The old adage- "all sex is good, but some is better than others"- is a bunch of hooey. After all, if every day is a good day, how do you know a good one from a bad one? For some "great sex" is a rarity or something they've only read about. Others think they have great sex all the time. For still others, "great sex" is an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms. There is such a thing as bad sex. Just ask a teenage girl fresh out of the back seat of a dirty old car after 3-1/2 minutes of wham-bam-thank-you-mam-style high school affection.

On average, Western sex practices yield roughly ten minutes of bliss. However, in India and parts of the Far East, sex is practiced as a form of spirituality called "Tantric Sex," enveloping its practitioners in ecstasy that can last hours. Call me pragmatic, but if you're going to go through all that trouble to bump uglies, why not spend a few hours riding the wave, instead of 10 minutes? If it were that easy, we'd all be chronically late for work, wouldn't we? It's not just about drawing out the process; some women might actually be glad their men are 10-minute wonders- any more plain humping and they might be tempted to file their nails.

Studies show couples are struggling to reconcile their high expectations of sex with their inability to express their sexual needs. A Details magazine survey found that 85 percent of respondents believed "perfect sex" exists. However, far fewer were having it. Only 38 percent of men and 45 percent of women reported they were "very satisfied" with their sex lives. Many couples are banking on Tantric techniques to better these odds. Read more

3 Tips for Inducing Altered States of Consciousness

An altered state of consciousness is a brain state wherein one loses the sense of identity with one's body or with one's normal sense perceptions. A person may enter an altered state of consciousness through such things as sensory deprivation or overload, neurochemical imbalance, fever, or trauma. One may also achieve an altered state by chanting, meditating, entering a trance state, or ingesting psychedelic drugs. Ammol Mehta gives three tips for inducing altered states naturally.
... Tips for Inducing Altered States of Consciousness

It is very difficult to pinpoint the reasons why these altered states take place when they do. If such states do interest you and you would like to explore them in your own life, I would give the following advise as starters…

1. Ask How You Spend Your Energy:

Start with that question. See how you spend the energy you are given. Do you simply waste it away or are you putting it to good use? If you are wasting your time and energy, then it is wise to start making modifications to your life in order to better gather and use your energy. Perhaps enlightenment is simply a reward for doing this. Read more

What Are the Benefits of Tantric Sex?

Tantric sex offers more than just whole body orgasms and all night sex, says Tantric sex expert Cassandra Lorius  It can increase your energy, sensual awareness, and enhance the quality of your life.
Good sex is an art that requires time and attention to flourish. Busy and stressful lifestyles can take their toll and our sex lives are often the first thing to suffer. We could all do with more of the feel-good factor that comes from good sex.

Tantric sex seduces us with its promise of endless ecstasy. It guarantees orgasm and feelings of emotional satisfaction for women. And men find tantric techniques can help them to keep it up longer, even all night!

One goal of tantric sex is to expand your orgasms from local genital experiences to 'whole body' orgasms. These expanded orgasms are where you feel energy rushing up through your body and into the crown of your head.

The claims of tantra may seem hype - but before you dismiss it, try it out. You might end up having the last laugh - or better still, a big self-satisfied grin that comes from recollecting your sexual highs. Read more

The Floating Meditation of Kundalini Tantra

Rev. David Howell explains how to do the floating exercise of Kundalini Tantra, which can be used to attain such things as astral projection, psychic powers, or even just stress relief.
The floating exercise is an important part of the meditation practices of kundalini Tantra, and as such is normally one of the first exercises taught to a new student. Mastery of the floating exercise can bring alignment to virtually any technique or physical world method wished. The floating exercise can also open the student to alignment to any spiritual world method or benefit imagined. It is important to remember that the simple method of active meditation allows one to find the total universe within and the connections to the total universe without (Microcosm within, Macrocosm without).

Examples of the things the floating exercise can attain include astral projection, alignment with some physical item the person wishes such as a new automobile, job, money, or other mundane requirement. In the spiritual realm, the student can attain mastery over clairvoyance, become a prophet, seer, psychic, or any other spiritual ability imagined. The Floating Exercise is one of the most powerful tools in the Tantric Path. A simpler and even more important benefit of the floating exercise is that of peace, joy, happiness, and internal rest. The floating exercise allows practitioners a space that is uniquely their own and gives them the space and place to practice happiness in a world of their own making. Read more

Mindfulness Meditation Benefits and Changes Brain Structures in 8 Weeks

Meditation isn't just good for the soul. It affects your body and mind, too. A recent study concluded that mindfulness meditation benefits and changes the brain structures associated with memory, sense of self, empathy and stress in just eight weeks.
Meditation is just a way to relax and maybe calm you down for the moment, right? Wrong. Not only will most regular meditators tell you that meditation makes them feel better emotionally and physically, but now there is also scientific evidence that regular meditation literally changes the body -- specifically, it changes the brain in ways that appear to be beneficial.

In a study published in the January 30 edition of Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) researchers concluded that an eight week mindful meditation practice produced measurable changes in participants' brain regions associated with memory, sense of self, empathy and stress. This is the first study to document meditation-produced changes in the brain's grey matter over time. Read more

Ecstatic Sex Versus Tantric Sex

Lisa Love compares Tantric sex to ecstatic sex. Ecstatic sex is not possible, she says, without intimacy and commitment.
Just as many people plunge into instant sex and end up having sex for all the wrong reasons, people dive into the pool of instant intimacy and end up in deep waters before they really know how to swim. Especially in the realm of tantra where sex, body work, and emotions are tied more deeply together, the waters can not only get deep, but rather murky really fast.

Why Tantra Once Required Commitment and Intimacy
To avoid throwing non-swimmers into deep waters, tantra, as it was orignally practiced in the East, ironically required a long period of time where the tantric partners got to know each other without any sexual contact whatsoever. An example of this might even include lying side by side next to each other in bed fully clothed for months. Why? Because giving into junk food sex and sex for all the wrong reasons is extremely easy and not much of a discipline at all. Learning to develop a deep bond of love, intimacy, integrity, honesty, and respect before having a sexual encounter, that is quite another matter. Read more
