The Sacred Purpose of Orgasm

Adina Rivers relays a message from the goddess Inanna about the sacred purpose of orgasm.
Your scientists and doctors will tell you that an orgasm is a matter of blood and nerve endings. This physical explanation is not even the tip of the iceberg. Your orgasms take place in a realm that remains largely invisible to most of you.
The following words have been channeled by a psychic medium and are supposedly coming from an extra-terrestrial species called the Pleiadians … No, I am not nuts. So don’t even go there and stay with me.

The message is amazing, powerful & empowering and to me this is all that counts. I don’t care where it comes from. You might believe in other species alive in this universe or not, but the message hits the current zeitgeist. Read it. Just do it. And do it without any judgement.

Orgasm: 400% More Satisfying with a Partner?

A 2006 study found that orgasm achieved through intercourse is 400% greater for both men and women when compared with masturbation.
A 2006 study found that the increase of prolactin is 400% greater for both men and women following orgasm achieved through intercourse, when compared with solitary masturbation.
Why is this significant? The increase of prolactin after orgasm contributes to a reduction of sexual arousal, along with feelings of relief and a greater drop in sexual tension. The researchers suggested that factors such as more excitement during intercourse might contribute to the greater amounts of prolactin after orgasm. While prolactin isn’t the only factor in sexual satisfaction, the implications are important. Read more

Movement for Freeing Orgasm

Tantra teacher Suzie Heumann explains why having a healthy pelvis can free a woman's orgasm.
Researchers from the University of the West of Scotland conducted a study on the correlation between the way women walk and whether or not they are vaginally orgasmic. After coming up with a set of criteria by which to judge, they set about filming 20 women walking. Half of the women were vaginally orgasmic (intercourse with no added, direct clitoral stimulation) and the other half self identified as not being vaginally orgasmic.

When the researchers asked the therapists previously trained with this set of criteria to identify the women whom they thought were vaginally orgasmic, they accurately identified 80 percent after watching them walk. The criteria involved how freely the women walked, their open, easy gait and the hip-to-leg rotation relationship of each woman. "This could reflect the free, unblocked energetic flow from the legs through the pelvis to the spine," the authors note. Basically, the more open, easy, freewheeling and swinging the woman's walk was, the more orgasmic potential she has, according to this study.

According to Stuart Brody, one of the authors of the study, "Blocked pelvic muscles, which might be associated with psychosexual impairments, could both impair vaginal orgasmic response and gait." Vaginally orgasmic women might also feel more confident about their sexuality, and their gait may reflect this feeling. Better mental health has been linked with vaginal orgasm in other current research. "Such confidence might also be related to the relationships that a woman has had, given the finding that specifically penile-vaginal orgasm is associated with indices of better relationship quality," say the authors. Spiritual Sex: From Orgasm To Soulgasm

Marnia Robinson compares Mantak Chia's neo-Daoism to karezza and finds karezza to be a superior method for reaching "soul orgasm," which she says is "an experience of 'being,' not 'doing,' of 'merging,' not 'doing to,' and of 'relaxation,' not 'performance.'"
Taoist Secrets of Love: Cultivating Male Sexual Energy by Mantak Chia (with Michael Winn) was my first introduction to the wisdom of making love without striving for orgasm. Chia, a neo-Daoist master, teaches men another way to manage their sexual energy, as well as the weakness in humanity's current habits. His book greatly expanded my understanding of my role as a lover, helping me to become a safer lover.

However, even before I stumbled upon the ancient account of Daoist lovemaking in the work ascribed to the famous Daoist sage, Laozi (Lao Tzu), I realized that there was an inherent inconsistency in Chia’s teachings. The mystical, merging experience which he calls “the valley orgasm” is a state of “not doing.” Yet, much of Chia’s book is about performance-oriented techniques, such as clenching the teeth, the buttocks and the muscles around the prostate gland, counting intercourse strokes, and so forth. These vigorous measures permit a skilled man to approach the edge of orgasm, and then maintain his control sufficiently to make love rather vigorously…indefinitely. Read more

Does the Venus Butterfly Guarantee an Orgasm?

The Venus Butterfly is supposed to guarantee a woman an orgasm and to increase both physical and spiritual closeness between partners. At least, this the promise, but does the technique actually work in practice?
The Venus Butterfly. It made its debut on TV legal drama LA Law, when— during the 1986 Thanksgiving episode—script writers Steven Bochco and Terry Louise Fisher referred to a mysterious sex technique that guarantees a woman endless, repeated climaxes. The day after Thanksgiving the media was buzzing with talk of the trick, and every loving couple across the nation was wondering how to do it. But hey, it's just an urban myth, right?

Maybe... maybe not. Ever since that fateful day, sexologists, therapists and writers have made attempted to define this holy grail of sex acts. So does it exist? And if so, does it work? Read more
