3 Kama Sutra Secret Positions
The Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian book that was written to teach men how to have a happy marriage. It’s chiefly famous for describing the arts of lovemaking. Despite being centuries old, the Kama Sutra is still just as fun to try today. There are many sex positions described in the chapter covering the sexual union between couples, but there are three positions which are emphasized and described as being better than all the others. These are known as the three secret positions.

The Kama Stra is more than just sex positions. It also includes oral sex techniques.
Sucking a mango fruit – fellatio techniques
Touching
“When your lover catches your penis in her hand and, shaping her lips to an 'O', lays them lightly to its tip, moving her head in tiny circles, this first step is called Nimitta”.
This is a great way to initiate fellatio if you are not sure what to do when you get down there. Read more

Kama Sutra Cunnilingus Techniques
The Kama Stra is more than just sex positions. It also reveals how to please a woman in other ways.
Licking of the rose petals – Cunnilingus techniques
The quivering kiss
“With delicate fingertips, pinch the arched lips of her house of love very slowly together, and kiss them as though you kissed her lower lip: this is Adhara-sphuritam”.
This is a rather strange technique, but if done correctly, it can be a good way to initiate cunnilingus. Pinch together the labia of your partner’s vagina to imitate lips, and gently kiss the region. Read more

The Kama Sutra's Guide to Great Kissing
The Kama Sutra covers kissing as thoroughly as it does sex positions. It even includes a kissing technique that is supposed to cause a woman to climax from kissing alone.
The Kama Sutra turns kissing into an art form.
It doesn’t just tell you how to kiss (in painstaking detail), it tells you where, when and what type of kiss to use if you want to do everything from wake your partner for morning sex (‘the kiss that kindles love’ involves planting one on them while they’re sleeping to show you’re in the mood for sex) to how to annoy the hell out of them (‘the kiss that turns away’ is what you do when you’re feeling needy and they’re not paying you enough attention).
Kissing is seen as a powerful tool to manipulate your lover and get your needs met. In Hindu and Tantric texts, the kiss is also considered A Big Deal because they believe mingling saliva harmonises the opposite energies of men and women. Read more

6 Kama Sutra Techniques That Can Make Missionary Position Even Better
If missionary position is one of your favorites, the Kama Sutra has six techniques that can make it even better.
There’s only one problem with missionary sex: The vast majority of men thrust in the same conventional, in-and-out way. Same speed, same depth, same hip motion, same everything. In other words, yawn and repeat. What these guys don’t know is that there are much more exciting ways for him to insert his penis. Ways that will create new, pleasurable sensations for both you and him. Take these six ideas from the Kama Sutra, for example. It may be an ancient Hindu text—which explains the strange names like “boar’s blow”—but these techniques certainly hold up in 2017. Read more

Why Tantric Sex Is About More Than Just the Kama Sutra
Jeanette Goddette explains why Tantric sex is about so much more than just the Kama Sutra.
Tantra has been nicknamed "the science of ecstasy." Many assume that Tantra is simply the art of sex. Tantra expands our capacity for pleasure, yet it is much more than just another term for the famous Kama Sutra sex positions.
Tantra is about living life well and being more alive in the present moment. Tantra is the art of love. Read more

8 Kama Sutra Thrusting Techniques
In a typical sex session, nine out of ten men thrust in the conventional way: in-out-in-out-in-out at the same speed, same depth, same hip motion until ejaculation. That isn't the only way to do it. however. The Kama Sutra is best known for its exotic sex positions, but it also describes eight different thrusting techniques that a couple can choose from. Although the man is the one performing all of the techniques, a couple of them require the woman to position herself in a certain way.

The Kama Sutra Size Chart
One of the unique asspects of the Kama Sutra is how it classifies men and women on the basis of the size of their genitals.
According to the Kama Sutra, men can be classified on the basis of the size of their penis, or lingam as it is called in Sanskrit. A person with a small penis is described as a hare-man, one with an average-sized penis is described as a bull-man, and one with an unusually large penis is described as a horse-man. Similarly, females can be classified according to the size of their yoni, or vagina. Read more

Under the Covers, Between the Sheets
Ryan Bloom reviews a new translation of the Kama Sutra, and says it's not all about sex.
Sex sells. If you want to push a product, add a dash of sex appeal. Even Sir Richard Francis Burton and his band of co-translators realized this back in 1883: When they first introduced Vatsyayana’s Kama Sutra to the Western world, they sold it as a sex manual. More than a hundred years later, the publishers at Penguin Books know that not much has changed.
Orientalist scholar and Sanskrit translator A.N.D. Haksar’s new interpretation of the 2,000-year-old Indian text allows a fresh opportunity for Penguin to play upon our eroticized beliefs about the Kama Sutra. For this latest incarnation, the publishers hired French graphic designer Malika Favre to create a series of alluring alphabet images for the book’s cover. Each image, composed of a sexually positioned man and woman, forms a letter in the title, such that when you unfold the flaps and lay the book flat, Kama Sutra is spelled out in scenes of cavorting couples. 6 Reasons Why You Should Take a Look at the Kama Sutra
The Kama Sutra could teach you a thing or two in the bedroom, from making a deeper connection, or why you should stock up on candles.
Not enjoying sex as much as you feel you should? It could be that you haven't yet discovered the best position (or positions) for providing the both of you with maximum pleasure. While the missionary position is nice, there is a world of alternative bodily arrangements out there. For some of the best, I suggest turning to the Kama Sutra.
The Kama Sutra is an ancient Hindu love manual. It was once considered valuable for its psychological insights on love and relationships, though most people today know it primarily as a how-to text on sexual behavior. In reality, only one section of the book -- out of seven -- focuses on sexual intercourse. Still, it's a valuable section (especially for our purposes) and it's where you should turn when considering alternative sexual positions. Read more

3 Kama Sutra "Clasping Positions"
The "Clasping Positions" of the Kama Sutra are perfect for Tantric sex. They are very balanced and meditative since they don't allow for much movement. Tantra teacher Suzie Heumann explains how to do them.
In the "Clasping Positions" of the Kama Sutra, the woman and man maintain a straight-legged, rather rigid posture in respect to one another. The term "clasping" comes as the woman clasps or holds onto the man's Lingam (penis) with her tight Yoni (vaginal) muscles and thighs (practice your Kegel exercises!).
These positions, or Asanas (Sanskrit), don't allow for much movement. They can be, however, very balanced and meditative, focusing not so much on hard thrusting as on a more gentle movement. The couple is in this way able to be in a kind of prayer together, holding and channeling the energy.
The couple may lay in any of the following combinations: woman on back/man on top; man on back/woman on top; woman on stomach/man face down on top; side-by-side facing each other; side-by-side and back to front, as in spooning. These are excellent positions for older couples because they're generally very easy on the body. Read more

Methods of Oral Sex in the Kama Sutra
The Kama Sutra is famous for its descriptions of acrobatic sex positions, but the Kama Sutra also explains how to perform oral sex. Dane Stanton describes the methods of oral sex in the Kama Sutra
Vatsyayana was a wise man who recognized the sometimes necessary desire for discretion. He knew very well that a sudden outbreak of unexpected pregnancies in the kings harem or of another fellows wife might have some rather serious consequences but as the saying goes "It is better to be a live dog than a dead lion," and sometimes temptation is just a bit too much.
As the Kama Sutra stated of these clandestine sexual relationships, "No place is as poorly guarded as a harem. And no women more accessible than the king's wives. A determined young man only has to choose how to achieve his ends.
Hidden inside a barrel or disguised as a maidservant, he will easily deceive the casual sentinels and the overworked stewards. He can also try to make himself invisible by using an appropriate potion. But the result is uncertain. The king's wives like to play games with strangers that are forbidden with their husband. The young man and the noble lady are lying against each other, head to tail.
He explores her yoni while her pretty mouth gobbles up his lingam greedily. It is Kalila the crow, the posture of slaves and maidservants, that queens are so fond of." Vatsyayana went on to describe the steps and variations of oral sex in hopes that his pupils might live to enjoy another day. Read more

7 Kama Sutra Sex Tips That Will Put You in the Hospital
The Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian text which is considered the primary Sanskrit work on human sexuality. Cracked.com takes a humorous look at this legendary book and concludes that some of its advice could be dangerous.
Vatsyayana's Kama Sutra was a strategy guide for the interaction of penises and vaginas in Gupta-era India (320 to 550 CE), meant to be read by sexual partners to enhance their lovemaking. That's around the same time the New Testament was made official, and people still take that book pretty seriously. What's the problem?
Well it turns out there's a big difference between adopting moral platitudes from thousands of years ago, and trying out their sex advice. Some of the "tips" from the Kama Sutra seem to be setting people up for serious injury should they be performed incorrectly, or in some cases, if they're performed at all. Read more

Tantric Fantasy Meditation
Rose Dawn Scott explains how to use Tantric fantasy-meditation to lift sexual arousal to new heights, serving as a connective agent from physical longing, to spiritual longing; from physical release to cosmic release.
Everyone is familiar with fantasy; most people have direct experience with it, either masturbation or during lovemaking itself.
The Tantric concept of fantasy is not so simple as conjuring up images in one's mind of *hot babes* or *studs*--and (groan) it takes lots of practice. This practice should be begun after attaining at least a fair degree of control over breath, mantra, and meditation. It involves visualization-- imagination on a mundane level, but raised to such a level that it becomes truth. And ('nother groan) this type of fantasy-meditation should be undertaken by the beginner alone and without any direct sexual stimulation.
[...]
A simple beginning exercise has been prescribed and handed down directly through generations of Tantric spiritual teachers and their students; a description follows:
Sit in Padmasana (full lotus) or lie on the back, arms at sides, palms turned up, as in Savasana (corpse pose). Breathe fully and deeply, blowing out all stale air, drawing vital prana in and down, expanding first the abdomen, then the ribcage, and finally the throat; then releasing the breath in the opposite manner. Concentrate the mind completely on each body part in turn. Tense the body (contraction), then relax completely (expansion). One the body feels harmonious and at ease, be still, slow the breathing, and focus on the mantra of your own breath-pattern. Read more
