I ask a lot of questions in a session, but I also listen. One thing I inquire about is if the person has experienced the rise of kundalini energy or of their sexual energy or fire energy, or if their orgasms are only felt in the fire chakra or sex region. Most people state that they experience an orgasm only in their sex region.
If an orgasm is only felt in the pelvis the biology behind that is the rest of the body isn’t engaged or stimulated. There is a lack of response in the rest of the body as it hasn’t been touched and the overall energy level in the body is low. Yes, stimulating the sex organs alone will produce an orgasm, but it will remain in the sex organs and not be a full body orgasm. Read more

The point of Tantric practice lies beyond sexual techniques, says Tantra teacher Lokita Carter.
Remember how everything is brighter when you first fall in love? Have you ever felt the special feeling of oneness during or after lovemaking? You are fully connected with your partner on the physical, emotional and spiritual plane. Nothing matters but the two of you, almost floating in the air with satisfaction and closeness. All worries and doubts have disappeared, and you are completely relaxed. Your body tingles with delight, and your heart is beating joyously and with love. You disappear into the eyes of your partner and everything you do, look at and touch suddenly has a special glow. Read more

As the dynamics of your relationship change, the speed at which your man climaxes does, too.
We’ve heard some women state that they believe men who orgasm quickly are having lots of sex. How backwards is that? It’s actually just the opposite. One reason a man climaxes too quickly is because he’s excited, usually about a new sexual conquest.
Like women love new shoes, we love new sexual experiences. Don’t get us wrong: we love old sexual experiences, too, especially if it’s been a long time since our last visit. When you finally let us past the pearly gates, we have spent so much energy on the chase that once we arrive, the energy built up has to dispense and out it goes like a bomb. Read more

To orgasm or not to orgasm, that is the question, says Angela Harmon.
When it comes to Tantra and the concept of using sexual energy and love-making as a path to God or the Divine, there has long been conflicting opinions as to the role of orgasms in achieving these higher states of consciousness. Many insist that the man can only attain union with the Divine if he abstains from orgasms and retains his seed. Then there are those who believe that even orgasm in women leads to changes in bio-chemistry that can cause disconnection later on. Apparently the Egyptians believed otherwise, see article below. I think that they were right in many ways; in my experience it does not matter as much whether to orgasm or not, but what we do with the energy that gets awakened before, during, and after orgasm, whether we allow it to dissipate leaving us empty or whether we know how to guide it in ways that will feed our spirit. This is true not just for orgasm, but for any state of sexual arousal. That is why I alway suggest that people focus on the making of love rather than having sex. If love is the focus and intent, you don’t need any special technique and you really don’t need to know about chakras or anything esoteric. Let the beauty and pleasure of sexual energy ignite and open your love channel, that of personal love for your partner, but also that of Divine Love and you will be on the right path. Read more

What is the ultimate workout? John Romano says it's Tantric sex!
The old adage- "all sex is good, but some is better than others"- is a bunch of hooey. After all, if every day is a good day, how do you know a good one from a bad one? For some "great sex" is a rarity or something they've only read about. Others think they have great sex all the time. For still others, "great sex" is an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms. There is such a thing as bad sex. Just ask a teenage girl fresh out of the back seat of a dirty old car after 3-1/2 minutes of wham-bam-thank-you-mam-style high school affection. Read more

Intense intimacy is one of the goals of Tantric sex. LJ Vanier reveals five methods to achieve it.
Our culture seems to use sex simply as a way to release tension. A goal oriented, five to ten minute, hot and sweaty work out, to get that release and then it’s over. A lot of energy spent. A lot more wasted.
When a man or woman feels flooded with sexual energy the basic primal instinct is to release it. This because we all have the biological wiring to procreate. But sex can and should be spiritual. A melding of masculine and feminine energy, merging and transcending the pair into higher level of consciousness. Read more

He is reported to have called Mahatma Gandhi a “masochist” who worshipped poverty, and said that socialism would lead to institutionalized poverty for India. Read more

Yab Yum looks simple enough, but there is more to it than meets the eye. Zoë Kors gives a practical guide to the practice.
Tantra is Sanskrit for “tool for stretching” or “instrument of expansion.”
In the last couple of decades, the term Tantra has made its way into the pop culture lexicon. From Tantra Restaurant, an upscale restaurant and lounge in Miami’s South Beach, to Tantra Salon, a small hair salon in suburban Philadelphia, the allure of this mysterious practice is evident.

A new study found that sexual pleasure literally puts you into a trance. That's not exactly news to Tantra practitioners since using sexual activity to reach a trance state is one of the goals of Tantric sex.
Many people feel that they “lose control” in the climax of a sexual encounter, and research shows this is a very apt description of what’s going on in the brain.
In a paper in the journal Socioaffective Neuroscience & Psychology last month, Northwestern University neuroscientist Adam Safron proposes that the rhythmic nature of sexual activity gives rise to a trance state involving total sensory absorption and a loss of self-awareness. Read more

My meditation practice has spanned over a decade and a half, and if there is one thing I have learned from daily sitting on a cushion to practice, it is that we must understand how to bring mindfulness into our every day lives.
I believe sex is the perfect medium in which to meditate.
It is a time we carve out of our busy schedules in which we create an opportunity to unwind and connect—two words synonymous with meditation.
So the next time we turn to a dear one and give them that enticing gaze, let’s remember we are opening up a gateway for an experience that can help us become more present. Read more

One of the unique asspects of the Kama Sutra is how it classifies men and women on the basis of the size of their genitals.
According to the Kama Sutra, men can be classified on the basis of the size of their penis, or lingam as it is called in Sanskrit. Although Tantra is ancient, its practices are validated by modern science, says Lizette Borreli.
The idea of having sex for hours on end with multiple orgasms sounds physically impossible — at least in the way some people look at sex. The Western concept of sex is like a storyline with a beginning (arousal), a middle (penetration), and an end (orgasm), but what if we began to see it without the big “O” as the main goal? Tantric sex, a 5,000-year-old ancient Eastern spiritual practice involving an emotional and energetic connection, may help us become more intimate and reach our own sexual nirvana.
Tantric Sex: Sexual Energy and Breathing
Singer-songwriter Sting, a well-known advocate of tantric sex, credits his fulfilling sex life to the ancient art. In 1990, Sting and Bob Geldof did an interview with a rock journalist, who asked how long they could go for. Geldof admitted he’s a three-minute man, while a drunken Sting said he could probably go for hours, boasting, “Well, haven’t you heard of tantric sex?” Read more

You heard about Tantric orgasms. Find how to have them.
Why tantric sex? I would like to give three reasons:
The sexual encounter Bea Dominic described in the previous post did not sound too bad huh? For some, it may sound like pure fantasy, and after 1.5 years of tantric sex I can confirm that this is how it feels too. But how to get there? Bea has practiced tantra for several years. I remember when I first saw a guy having a tantric orgasm. With clothes on and everything! “I don’t believe this, it must be fake,” I thought, somewhat jealous. But after playing detective for a while, I realized that was not the case. However, I came to the conclusion that tantric sex starts with a sacrifice that I did not understand. I would have to refrain, at least for a time, from my dear normal orgasm that I used as a sleeping pill in the evenings. I realized only later how dependent I was of it. Read more

Sexual satisfaction requires a complex combination of mental, physical, and spiritual health. The first thing to do, is remember to breathe.
"When you change your breathing by simply breathing in and out through the nose, you turn on the parasympathetic nervous system. This creates an all over feeling of ease and relaxation automatically. It is much more common for women to experience multiple orgasms. But all men can learn how to experience male multiple orgasms. It just takes a lot of practice (thankfully, a very pleasurable process!) Read more
